Biography

I am an industrial ecologist with more than 5 years of experience in bioeconomy. My current research develops machine-learning-assisted sustainability assessment frameworks and indices that integrate economic and environmental impacts to guide sustainable biomaterial design, including biochar, biographite, and cross-laminated timber. At Yale, I work with Dr. Yuan Yao and Dr. Robert Mendelsohn.

I was fortunate to work with amazing mentors that inspired me to work at the intersection of ecosystem, engineering, decision-making, and computation. Before PhD, I was a data analyst in Dr. Karl Rohe’s lab. During then, I applied network analysis to Bitcoin transactions and microbial communities. In my undergrad and master, I studied how environments and human behaviors interact. This includes biomaterial development with Dr. Feng-cheng Chang, and social psychology research with Dr. Ling Chen.
